In this section, you will find a high-level timeline for FRNYC implementation as well as a checklist of tasks schools must complete to successfully execute the implementation.
Please note that two implementation strands will be offered during the 2023-24 school year. Before reading the remainder of the playbook, ensure that you understand which implementation strand your school will be following. Implementation expectations for each strand are covered more deeply in the Programming Infrastructure section.
- Full Implementation: High schools with evidence of existing structures or prior experience implementing career-connected learning will begin program implementation with all grades and ALL FIVE FRNYC programming components in the fall of 2023
- First-year Implementation: High schools with evidence of building structures to support career-connected learning will phase in program implementation and build capacity in 2023-24 with the goal of full implementation with 9-12th graders in fall of 2024
